Mom is Home!

After exactly five weeks, my wife arrived safely home at 6:00 AM on Monday. Today is her first day back in the office with 1,600 unread emails and an insatiable desire to sleep at her desk.
Not surprisingly, neither of the girls wanted to sit with me at church on Sunday morning. I did, however, have the pleasure of going to the grocery store alone for the first time in over a month. It felt strange to be able to take my time and think about meal planning.
The end of last week was crazy. I had to fly to Toronto for two days, and then my brother in-law was in town with his family Friday and Saturday. It kept the girls occupied though, and the house was cleaner than average by the time mom got home.
